This cork tape makes an excellent single (or multiple) layer butt wrap. It is 1" wide, made of a combination of cork and rubber, and has an adhesive backing.

This cork tape makes an excellent base wrap for multiple butt wrap layers. It is 1" wide, made of 100% cork, and has an adhesive backing. Even though some rod builders use it as an outer wrap, we do not think that it is durable enough, however it is very cost effective for an underlayment. Sold in multiples of 5' sections (e.g. 5', 10', 15').

    EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) foam is durable, velvety to the touch, and remarkably lightweight. Firm enough for good sensitivity, yet soft enough for easy fitting.
    We cannot guarantee exact sizing since the grips do not always run true to size due to the manufacturing process. We will strive to supply you with the most accurate sizing possible.

    For a professional look and secure finish, slide a Mooseskin EVA finishing grip over cork tape buffeting the ends of the reel seat. These finishing grips are similar to those used by St. Croix in the Ben Doerr surf rods.
